ooma voip not connecting

hello i am new to this community as well as to Sophos UTM... it took some time but i as able to get it configured to let me out to web and browse...now the difficult part is trying to get my Ooma voip to work...i’ve searches the web and have configured the ports that have been posted on this community forum.   i am at a loss, so currently the ooma is off line and set to ring my cell.  if there is anyone who can enlighten me on this i would be greatly appreciated

  • thanks.

that was the first thing i did, but nothing......the ooma looks like it’s connected to the internet, that flower looking symbol is blue, but there is no dial tone, no calls in or out.....

  • I've had this configuration setup since 2010 and I'm using the 1st version of the Telo.  Mine still working.

  • Open up the utm live firewall log and see what's being blocked.  Make appropriate rules to unlock.

  • thanks for all the suggestions... the ooma is working but in an unconventional way...

i reset my modem back to default factory in gateway mode, gave it a single dhcp range then put the sophos utm on a different subnet...then the ooma worked.... the only thing now is the modem isn’t in bridge mode.........i don’t know if this setup is correct, but the ooma works, the sophos box works, my third party AP works....

i’m not a even close to being proficient at networking/firewalling etc...  would anyone know the reason  why the ooma won’t work with the modem in bridge mode? anyone have or has anyone had this issue in the past?

thank you for all and any replies
