Web Policy -> Allowed Network ->IP RANGE - Not working

Hi Sophos Community,

Under 9.4* UTM Firmware.

Under Web policy > Allowed Network > if set to IP range, It is not working.!

How come that this simple  features are not allowed on web policy?

Is there any Solutions for this?

Let say we have /22 Network, will i do manually input all hosts in the UTM just to apply web policy?

Thanks

  • Hi,

What is the IP Range that you want to define? Suppose you have a network of 192.168.1.0/24 and you want to define Web Protection on 16 IPs in the network then you can simply do the subnetting trick while defining the Network Definition. Taking Block Size into consideration, you can divide the range amongst 16 IP addresses. So if 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.16 IP needs to be monitored then create a network definition of 192.168.1.0/28.

    Thanks
