VOIP problem with self-hosted PBX

Hi,

i have setup a RASPBX at home, and i have installed Zoiper on my iPhone and I want to connect from the Internet to my RASPBX at home.

I have usted nat rules, VOIP helper but no matter what, the phone can register, but RTP is being blocked.

Actually i have the same issue as Gert Hansen refers to here:

https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f/general-discussion/19733/sip-trp-proxy-details

I can in the IPs log see a lot of ICMP floods when i try to make a call from the outside, but the Ip is not my phones WAN IP?!?

I can disable ICMP flood and port forward 10000:20000/udp to the pbx, the are being forwarded but is does still not work.

When phone is on the LAN, everything works perfect.

So does UTM still have a VOIP helper bug when PBX is on the INSIDE of the UTm and clients are external?

I have the PBX in VOIP Server, and for tests I put ANY in clients, still no result.

With VOIP helper disabled I can see the traffic in firewall log being passed due to the enabled dnat rules, but with no luck :-/

  • The voip helper is not for an internal PBX server. I will suggest to nat all the ports required. And most important think for PBX, you have to search in PBX forums for "nat traversal" because the client outside may have not a static IP
