Authentication with attribute userPrincipalName in AD

Hello,
I would like use the attribute userPrincipalName for authenticated my users in captive portal, if is it possible ?

    Why not just have the users login with their Windows credentials?

    Hello Bob,

    Because the subsidiaries doesn't have an active directory and all user in subsidiaries use Office 365 (Office 365 is synchronised with my AD)

    So my idea is create a vpn ipsec betwen my firewalls (Headquarter to subsidiaries) and i would like to force all users in susidiaries to authenticated by captive portal (with their email adresses and password Office 365/AD )
