I have used Crashplan for many years, almost as long as using Sophos, and I know that it can be a bit problematic at times with needing to be put through filters. That said, this problem is new to me. I have all of the known servers defined and the port 4242 opened to them. Additionally, everything in this thread has been followed and has worked flawlessly up until a few weeks ago: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/f/54/t/41507
Now, however, Crashplan connects and analyzes, synchronizes and all the other necessary housekeeping just fine, no matter how long it takes. Then, when it starts to do the backup, it disconnects. I've tested Crashplan on other systems, with other data, new installs of the program, and being on different networks. The only time it runs now is if it isn't on a network protected by my firewall. Unfortunately, that is where my knowledge ends. Sophos has been so easy and friendly that I don't really know how to troubleshoot it and track down the problem. I have made web exceptions and even turned off the web filter, bypassed the proxy in system settings, all to no avail, as I have seen no problems there (no blocks in the web or firewall logs). Any help in tracking down this problem is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
