Route based on URL Domain

The best you could do for this is to bind 'Any -> Web Surfing -> Any' traffic to the secondary connection.

Also, your customer might consider WSUS for client updates.

I was thinking about that, but I wanted just a "bit" more control.

With the ability to control which URL domains go to which link, would be the ideal solution.

You can get more granular control, i.e. FQDN based route through the gateway in our new firmware SF-OS and Sophos XG products. Unfortunately, with UTM you can simply bind "web surfing" on a secondary connection.
