Reference:
We are using the SG230 at UTM 9.355001 with Full Guard as of 12:35AM today. Our UTM appliance manages all inbound and outbound and internal traffic.
Issue:
Since we have deployed 9.354 (and all updates since), all of our mobile devices have a very strange issue: they can no longer send emails through our internal ActiveSync server if they contain an attachment of any kind.
- No updates were performed on the ActiveSync server or email server (or the operating systems themselves) during this time.
- No relevant/related mobile device updates were performed during this time.
- Windows based email clients on the main network work fine - only mobile devices that use the internal Active Sync server have this email attachment issue.
- No UTM configuration changes, HOWEVER only the UTM has been updated and it appears to be mostly security patches (SSL/GlibC being the most important to us).
We have an open support request with our ActiveSync server vendor, but it now appears to us that the emails are not even making it to the ActiveSync server. We suspect a recent patch has caused this issue on our UTM. Is anyone else with a similar environment seeing anything like this? Does anyone have any ideas on how we should proceed?
