Neteork traffice quota

Hi,

Is it possible to setup a qouta on the network traffice usage? I am not talking aobut bandwith qouta, there shoulsnt be a restrication, we have some users that access our network with RDP and sometimes they move alot of data from thier local network to our Network.

I want to know if we can setup some soort of qouta so that they can only move say 5 gb data to our network.

Thanks

  • If you want to stop allowing traffic after a certain volume is reached, you can use QoS with a Traffic Selector that also uses 'Amount of data sent/received'.

  • Hi BAlfson,

Thanks as Always for you replay,

we are intersted in this option, because one of our customers that access one of our terminal servers (on port 9562) with only RDP, they genrate a really large amount of netwerk useage and we dont know what is being send/recive from there side to our Terminal server because connection is encrypted by RDP.
we tought then maybe we can setup a limit for this customer and when they reach this limit then they must not be able to access our Terminal server
    my question is:

when choose traffic selector, at the source should we use the IP of the customer? or the wan IP of the Sophos that customer use to access our T.S server?
also let say we setup a limit for 6 gb and customer in 2 days reach this limit how can we reset this? I mean we dont want customer be lockted out for ever :)

    Thanks
