Please explain the need for all these time settings

The Sophos UTM has the following options

Etc/GMT
Etc/GMT+0
Etc/GMT-0
Etc/GMT0
Etc/Greenwich
Etc/UTC
Etc/Universral
Etc/UTC
Etc/Zulu

what is the hell is difference between all these? In a world where we can point to thousands of NTP sources of which I believe all reference UTC time what is the need for all these options?

Sophos guys can we just go to the KISS (Kepp It Simple Stupid) principle? If there truly a value in the these various options please explain, its not in your documentation at the present time.

A quick google search reveals that the zone info is taken from https://www.iana.org/time-zones

Short answer from IANA website
It is updated periodically to reflect changes made by political bodies to time zone boundaries, UTC offsets, and daylight-saving rules

So to Keep It Simple Stup** they just follow IANA[;)]
