Prevent one client from using all bandwidth

I recently downgraded to 2/1 Internet. I wouldn't mind a single device using all of that, unless there is another device trying to do something.

i.e. phone can download updates at full speed but only if PC isn't trying to web surf - in that case they must share

  • Without anything else being involved, the devices in contention for bandwidth will be "evenly" distributed typically.  You can set QOS/throttling to allow some devices to have preference over others, though.  I do not use either, but the help system/admin guide should be able to walk you through those settings.
