SSH through sophos 9

Hello All

I am trying to establish an ssh connection using putty to one of my remote server, the connections times out. The putty client is behind sophos 9 virtual appliance.
i have created a firewall rule to allow ssh to any location and that's the first rule.
Intrusion prevention is off.
