Hi, I've been very frustrated trying to send and receive emails from internal IMAP and SMTP clients (e.g. Outlook, android mail and iOS mail) to an external ISP server and gmail.
I have a very simple setup. a single internal network subnet and a PPPoE external connection via bridged modem to my ISP - see pic.
Web traffic is working fine, via the UTM web filtering, but email doesn't send or recieve, all clients say they can't contact the external mail server.
I only have one manual firewall rule (see pic) which as far as I can see allows all outbound traffic to any IP address. I have no country blocking, no NAT or masquerading rules, no SMTP or pop3 proxies enabled, no application control.
The firewall log shows that the 'all outbound pass' rule seems to be letting IMAP, etc through, but no joy - still unable to contact servers.
What am I missing? Many thanks in advance for any help!
