UTM blocking or not forwarding Plex?

Hi All

i made a NAT rule for Plex setautomatic firewall rule for Plex on Port 32400. If i want to connect the server online it does not work, anyone worked out the issue? I added an exception to IPS for Service Plex as i had problems with IPS before. I also turned off all security services to check, but that didnt help.

If i check the firewall logs (i checked the "log intial packets")  i can see plex contacting the QNAP (where the Plex Service is running) on its IP, but the QNAP answers packets on another port to the Firewalls internal IP instead of the Plex Initiating Admin-Server on the WAN

    I'm not suggesting that this is the problem, however, in your Host Definition, is the 192.168.30.170 address within the DHCP Range?

    Also, what Firewall Rules do you allow for that Host? I did a 30 Day Logging & Reporting on my PLEX Host and it used:

    • TCP: HTTP (80), HTTPS (443), DOMAIN (53)
    • UDP: 32412, 32414, DOMAIN (53), BOOTPS (67), NTP (123), NETBIOS-NS (137)
    • ICMP (0)

    thanks for logging that, I checked again all settings and found that the DNS of the QNAP was set wrong as it was set manually due to trunking. 

    Now it works like a charm again....and i was able to slim down my FW settings due to this post, thanks
