QoS RED

Hi,

i ve the situation at a customer where i need to shape citrix (guarantee bandwith from external interface). My problem is that the field offices are connected with REDs (from 10 different sites). So QoS on the WAN interface dont work.

What i want to do is to guarantee 10Mbit to all Citrix Users from all remote Sites (all Traffic is routed over the RED - standard).

    Hello,

    you can set a QoS-rule for TCP 3400 (RED VPN) with a defined minimum bandwith to the corresponding WAN-if.

    But that do not guarantee, that other protocols (http, rdp, printing and so on) are catching the bandwith over the tunnel... :-/

    I always read, that setting/bind a fixed protocol to a virtual RED-if (office01, office02 etc.) is a bit tricky...

    My comment here is partially incorrect as Sascha points out below:
    QoS can act inside IPsec tunnels, but not RED.  You might want to add your votes and comments to Networking: QoS For VPN Traffic.

    Who told that ? As RED creates a reds interface on the UTM, you CAN use QOS , but only outgoing UTM => RED, but not vice versa. Should work fine to create rules for Citrix.
