Masquerading Problem?

Hy, i have troubles with my sophos utm. Behind my sophos firewall there is an Windows 2011 SBS. When i try to open OWA from internal network (with public fqdn) connection times out. From internet it works without problems.

The DNS - Resolve from internal network to this host works too.

Is there a problem with masquerading?

Thanks

  • Morning,

Accessing a internal server by it's external IP (or FQDN resolving to external IP) requires a full NAT to work properly.

Masquerading is only intended for source NATing connections where you don't know ahead of time which interface will be used for routing the connection.
