Hello recently installed Sophos UTM 9.3 with home liscence on standalone box to be used as gateway. Box has eth1 and eth2. Set dhcp server on eth1 during intial setup. Obtained a lease from dhcp server on host1 through eth1. Setup ppoe on eth2 on box. Eth2 worked successfully and authenticated ppoe with credentials supplied . Could browse external http/s from host1 with no configuration between interfaces.
Disabled:
Allow ICMP on Gateway
Gateway is Ping visible
Ping from Gateway
Gateway forwards Pings
All services that auto add firewall rules (as liste in documentation)
Created rule in firewall
sources :internal network
services : 1:65535 > 1:65535 *udp/tcp
destination: any ipv4/6 address
But cannot browse external websites on any internal hosts
Cannot connect via ssl on port 563 to newserver
CAN only browse external websites when webfiltering is enabled?
