interface based firewall rules

there are a way to set up a firewall rule based on the output interface? i've set up a policy routing rule to redirect outgoing smtp traffic trough a specific wan link (i've used a gateway rules for the smtp protocol) and i wanto open the smtp traffic only for the interface used for thi specific uplink ...

    I don't know about interface rules but if you have multiple WAN's, look into uplink balancing/multipathing. With multipath you can specify certain traffic goes over certain links, with or without the options of failover and/or load balancing.
