WAN-side IPv6 NDP

Hello,

we contacted our datacenter carrier to get another IPv4 and IPv6 Range. For the IPv6 Range there is kind of a caveeat. We need to do NDP (Neighborhood Discovery Protocol) on the WAN-side and i don't know if this is possible. Can anyone tell me if it is? Our carrier will enable IPv6 for us via SLAAC.

    Hi,

    not yet. The thing is, that we would get IPv6 via RA but our IPv4 Range is statically configured. In the UTM it is not possible to do static interface configuration but dynamically assigned IPv6 at the same time - AFAIK. If you have any ideas to go around that, i would really appreciate that.

    Besides that we CAN use our IPv6 Range by statically configure it BUT we would sacrifice high availability because we have redundant gateways but i can only configure one gateway at a time statically. so if that gateway fails, i would have to reconfigure the second manually what the dynamically assigned ipv6 would do automagically.
