SOCKS5 Proxy Authentification - Dropbox

Dear all,

has anybody have the UTM SOCKS5 proxy with authentication working with Dropbox ?

I get an error in the socks proxy log:
error after having read 4 bytes: client protocol error

Nothing in the other logs like firewall web proxy.....

Any hint would be appreciated !!!!

I'm not sure why you would want to use the SOCKS5 Proxy, Steffen, as Dropbox works well with Web Filtering.

Hello Bob,

thx again for your help. Does Skype cause a problem since my son runs Skype currently though the SOCKS Proxy (authentication disabled).

I plan on switching on the https proxy shortly as well.

The SOCKS5 Proxy is my preferred configuration for Skype behind a UTM.
