Allow (non-Sophos UTM) VPN connections

I'd like to have my iPad connect to an external VPN provider (StrongVPN).

The iPad can establish the VPN connection using 4G, but not over WiFi (i.e. through Sophos UTM).

This used to work, but no longer does for me.

What setting do I need to have this work?

Using 9.209-8. iPad is on iOS 8.1

Have tried PPTP & L2TP.

Thanks,

James.

  • Hi Bob, afraid not.

Have turned off Advanced Threat Protection and IPS - no change.

Looked at Firewall filtering by my iPad's IP - nothing.

    Application Control log is empty.

    James.
  • Just for the record, was able to get it to work with help from Sophos Support. Deleted the VPN setting in Remote Access/IPSec and recreated it with the Virtual IP pool filled in with "VPN Pool (IPSec)", everything else the same.

    All worked after that.
