Hi all,
I have a Engenius ECB600 which support Vlan tagging and wanna use this to setup multiple Wlan SSIDs and separate all the SSIDs by using VLAN tagging. I have UTM 9..2 as software installed on a pc with 3 NICs, the setup is based on direct attached with no switch. so this is the next setup i had in mind but doesnt know if it wil work. Keep in mind that i don't have a management switch that is support VLAN.
1. Engenius ECB600 Access Point with vlan tagging support.
2. Sophos UTM 9.2 with 3 nic = eth01 WAN / eth02 LAN / eth03 Multiple VLan 20/30
3. Like to create 3 vlan tag = vlan 10 / vlan 20 / vlan 30
3. Like to create 3 ssids = ssid 10 / ssid 20 / ssid 30
4. Connect a cable from eth03 to the Engenius ECB600 (so no switch between)
5. Like to have SSID 10 tagged on Vlan 10 to ONLY be able to connect to eth02. This is the Private LAN for Home.
6. Like to have SSID 20 tagged on Vlan 20 to eth03 to be use voor guest and should not connect and communicate with NOTHING besides Internet (if possible a seperate dhcp/sub if not its no problem)
7. Like to have SSID 30 tagged on Vlan 30 to eth03, this one is gonna served guest mobile devices with almost no restrictions. And if possible for the Vlan 30 i wanna have a seperate Web Protection Policy for it. Also for this one the Vlan 30 should not connect and communicate with NOTHING besides Internet. Also (if possible a seperate dhcp/sub if not its no problem).
Does anyone know if its possible to create create vlan and direct attached it to a WAP that support vlan tagging without a need for a management switch. If so can someone tel me how to setup what i discripe above.
thnx in advanced
