I am admittedly new to Astaro after being a Cisco ASA SE for so long. Need to open 2 ports on the device to allow MYOB accounting software to access a desktop on the network for installing updates.
The 2 ports are 6962 & 6963. I know this must be done in Service definitions and then DNAT, but I'm not completely clear on the procedural order and syntax.
I found this RDP example example in the KB and was hoping someone might guide me along the proper way with creating these rules. Please annotate as necessary to replace the RDP reference EXAMPLE with what I would need for this specific example.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1) Create a new service definition
Goto Webadmin » Definitions & Users » Service Definitions
New Service Definition
Name: RDP_10040
Type of Definition: TCP
Destination port: 10040
Source port: 1024:65535
Comment: RDP on port 10040
2) Create a DNAT rule
Goto Webadmin » Network Security » NAT
Select DNAT/SNAT tab
New NAT rule
Name: RDP_10040 to Exchange Server
Group: No group
Position: Bottom
Traffic Source: Any
Traffic Service: RDP_10040
Traffic Destination: External (address)
NAT Mode: DNAT (destination)
Destination: Exchange_Server
Destination Service: Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP)
Click Save
