Bandwidth Pool for ADSL

Hi,

we have a site 2 site VPN between 2 Sophos UTM 120 9.2 .
On our Main Office we have a 10 MBit SDSL and in our branch office we have 16/1 MBit ADSL.

We can connect to our terminalserver farm in the main office but have performance issues if there is other traffic outside the IPSec tunnel. So we want to garant 10Mbit of our ADSL Downstream to the IPSec Tunnel.
If we try to setup a bandwidth pool for this, we can not activate the rule,
because it is over 90% of the ADSL Upstream.

Is it possible to do QoS for the asymetric ADSL Line in the branch office?

    Hi, Benny, and welcome to the User BB!

    We don't have enough information to give you an elegant solution, just a brutal one. [:)]

    In the UTM with the ADSL connection, configure two Download Throttling rules. The first should limit IPsec traffic from the other location to 100 Mbps. The second should limit all traffic to 6 Mbps, thus guaranteeing the remaining 10 Mbps to the IPsec traffic.

    What kind of information do you need for thoughts about another solution?

    Is it possible to classify the traffic , so Ipsec always has priority ?

    There's no classification in the UTM that can prevent your ISP from sending you packets that fill your pipe.  If you can get your ISP to prioritize IPsec to you from their last-hop router, you can solve the problem.  It's just a question of cost. [;)]
