Hello all. I just got done installing the latest version and am perplexed with this issue. I have two "Smart TVs". Netflix works great on one, but not the other.
Only have the firewall enabled at this point. I have 6 firewall rules, all the ones created during the install (e.g. web, mail, etc.). I added one additional rule to get VUDU working on both TVs - would have been nice if they published the range of ports needed rather than sifting through logs to find them!
If I put my Mikrotik back as the firewall, all is good. Oddly, if I then start Netflix on the TV, get a show ready to watch then put Sophos back as the firewall, I can stream a show. So, I figure they might be using a non-standard port for the logon. However, I see no dropped packets and can see the DNS queries coming from the broken Netflix device.
I started this thread because previous threads (at least ones I was able to find) dealt with Netflix issues with proxy/antivirus enabled.
Hopefully somebody has seen similar issues before I start sifting through tcpdumps.
If I figure it out before somebody more knowledgeable comes along I'll post my findings to hopefully save someone else a few hours of troubleshooting.
