Accessing NATed server from internal network

Hello Community,

we got some users connecting their smartphones to our internal WLAN, trying to access the internal mail server through its external DNS name, which is set up on their smartphones to enable them to synchroniize teir email accounts when on the road.
However, when their smartphones are connetcted to our WLAN, they are ubnable to connect to the mail server, which annoys those users somewhat.

How do I have to configure the Sophos UTM (version 9.1) to make this possible.

How are you doing DNS? Do you have a DNS entry on your local network for your mail server that is set to the internal IP?

Need more information to help.

Sounds like you need to setup a split dns so that the email servers public fqdn resolves to its internal ip when clients are on the internal lan.

Check UTM: Accessing Internal or DMZ servers from Internal Networks using DNAT and see if it helps.
