Phone QOS

Hi
I have an Asterisk PBX on its own network with some Polycom phones. This network shares its bandwidth with the LAN over a 100mbit/10mbit cable line Provided by Road Runner/Brighthouse. The phone trucks are provided by bandwidth.com

I have tried following the instructions laid out here for QOS settings.
https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/54/t/41320

But I continue to have packets lost and choppy phone calls.

I have checked the IPS logs and don't see any flood triggers going off. The only thing that kind of helps is throttling all my other bandwidth down to almost nothing.

Attached is my QOS set up. I don't have any TOS/DSCP set.

Sophos 320
Firmware: 9.111-7

Anything that pops out as not set correctly?
Any help would be great, thank you.

  • set the interface to 103 not 80?

    Yes.

If the problem isn't your VoIP provider's local equipment on your premises, then I suspect it's the cable connection that's iffy at times.
