Block a specific IP address completely

Trying to shut down/block/nuke from orbit a particular IP address.

Here's what I did:

Network Protection/Firewall/+NEW RULE

Source = (actual IP address)
Services = any
Destinations = any
Action = reject

Yet it still looks like the IP address is getting through, connecting to the internet and sucking tons of Pandora traffic.

What did I do wrong? [:S]

  • Hi, Dave, and welcome to the User BB!

    For a bit of an explanation about Bruce's suggestion, see #2 in Rulz.

    You probably want to use Application Control to block Pandora or to block that IP explicitly in Web Protection.  If you want more help with either approach, open a new thread in the Web Protection forum.  Give your post a title like "Block a user that's abusing Pandora" or "Block Pandora."

    Cheers - Bob
