  • Sorry I am back from out of town for 2 weeks. I was able to block Tor via anonymizer/proxy category in application control but ultra surf is still working. Any suggestion?

    Thanks
  • enable https scanning...any machine that doesn't install the cert won't be able to do https and that kills ultrasurf..once you have the cert installed you'll be able to kill it with the various tools inside the utm.

  • William, thanks for the quick reply. I turned https scanning on with 'scan and decrypt' I understand I will need the cert to install on clients (smartphones, laptops, pcs, etc) is there a way I can install the cert on UTM that doesn't need to be installed on each machine or smartphone devices? that way, they can't delete or bypass to install the cert when it prompts them?

    Thanks again.
  • the cert has to go on the devices not the utm...[[:)]]  also put the utm proxy into standard mode..that way if they remove the cert they can[t surf at all...[[:)]]

  • Ultrasurf should now be available for use in Application Control. We added it just recently in a pattern update.
