Which DB used for Country-Blocking

Hi,
somebody knows which DB is used? For some tests i used manual the ip-lookup.net and get different country informations when i e.g. ask ripe or apic.net. Very strange...

FYI, you can submit corrections at
https://www.maxmind.com/en/correction

and they have a test page at
https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip_demo
although this appears to be a new version of their product.

FWIW, it has been found (by another user here) that some companies such as HP are getting RIPE allocations and using them in the US, so one cannot always trust the WHOIS data.
