Hi everyone,
firstly i've seen this post from a while ago, and think i've tried to do what it says, but i'm still having problems.
https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/54/t/40474
Here's what i want to do
- (Synology) NAS box listens on port 3000 (example) for http and 3001 https
- access this from the www through WAF
Here's what I've done
- NAS is on internal network with x.x.x.3 address
- listening on ports above
- this is all set up as a real webserver > Plain http port 7000
- there's a virtual webserver setup to listen on public IP port 80
- this has the public IP in the "Domains" section (i.e. there's no FQDN listed there)
- I've enabled HTML rewriting and Pass Host header
- I've created a Firewall Profile to allow all and simply monitor
- i have a site path routing rule set for "/"
Going to this NAS internally on http://x.x.x.3:7000 works fine
Going to the NAS from the www and it just sits there spinning > never times out, so it seems like its doing something...?
I've tested these settings with a separate internal IIS server and it works totally fine (from the www) so i'm sure it must be something on the NAS possibly (I'm posting on a forum for that too, but I'm hoping someone here might have come up against this issue before.)
Anyone got any thoughts on this
