Really no Sollution for gaming over UTM?

Hi,

 I wanted to repleace my simple router with Astaro UTM Home Edition.
 Unfortunatelly my Kids can not connect to online games like LOL or Starcraft ...
 So can I anyhow create a rule for allowing to acces these games?

    Hi

    As i see it (and please note, i'm not an expert), you should be able to either use the live log to see the ports used for these games, however, are there any specifik reason you are blocking the outgoing traffic? In a home network (and in most companies) the incoming traffic would be the one you would be interested in blocking.

    And you'll need a Masquerading rule for LAN->WAN ADDRESS.

    i'm curious..

    How did you manage to get on the net without the masquerading rule in the first place? As far as i remember there is created a default LAN -> WAN rule at initial setup?

    My steps were:
    Install from CD on Hardware
    Run through the wizards and "zing", it works perfekt for a non gamer ;-)
    Websites I want to be blocked are blocked. 
    Outlook connects to Exchange in the Cloud and 
    RDP to my Terminal Server also works without doing anything else.
    I did not create a special rule.

    This is a very good work from Sophos/Astaro... I love it...

    What he hasn't said is if he is running native IPv6, you don"t need a NAT rule.
    Or if he is running the http proxy and in which mode?

    I dont think I am using IPv6 native :-) 
    Proxy is setup (through wizard) as transparent.

    So here is my result: ;-) It works with the games.
    BUT there is another issue that I face to now: I have a a Lync Client as a work phone. Unfortunatelly it does not work over astaro. Any hints here?
