Firewall Rules not Obeyed when Web Filter Switched On

Hello,

I have certain firewall rules set for certain users (it is for blocking my kids computers and devices from getting on internet at night at a specified time)

These rules work fine but as soon as you enable the Web Filter , the rules aren't obeyed.

The web filter is running in Transparent Mode.

How can I run the web filter and also have the firewall rules obeyed?

    IMHO there is a significant problem in that the firewall and the web rules don't appear to have any documented precedence rules nor acknowledgement that two sets of rules affect the same traffic.  It has caused me considerable indigestion.  Essentially, you can create rules in two places and you just have to test to see which rules win (has precedence over the others).  This also makes troubleshooting more fun.  

    To be fair, there's a gap in my understanding of the web rules.  I've set up rules for Steam traffic both there and in the firewall.  I 'assume' the web rules only affect certain web-related ports, but I haven't been able to verify this.

    Barry, are you saying that in all cases the Web rules have precedence over the firewall rules?  If so, I'll need to understand specifically which ports are being monitored and controlled in the Web interface.
