Automatic QoS and Custom QoS Play Nice?

I read in an old thread that if you have the Automatic QoS features enabled, you don't want to define additional rules, or vice versa.  Is this still true in v9?  

Trying to get VoIP as solid as possible.  Will I benefit at all by selecting Download Equalizer/Upload Optimizer if I've already set download/upload QoS on VoIP related services, or is this just going to cause issues?

    Jim, I would have expected the automatic settings to be applied after the manual rules, but, at least during the first year that it was possible to de-select Automatic QoS, Upload Optimizer seemed to disrupt manual bandwidth rules.  I don't know if this still is an issue.  What does your testing seem to indicate?

    Hey Bob,

    I am still having trouble with VoIP... so in my opinion, something is causing issues with QoS.  I de-selected it today, I'll report back.

    For whatever reason, no matter what the config, my phones are getting squeezed out when bandwidth gets pushed to the max.
