NAT configuration to allow specific devices access to two subnets

Hello,

I have two isolated networks a LAN and a WLAN both on separate subnets (LAN:192.168.2.0, WLAN:192.168.1.0). I have a hotspot running on my WLAN to provide guests with internet access. Naturally, there is no access between these two networks. 

Me being me of course need to complicate my life. I have 3 devices I would like to have access to both networks. 

I have an iPad which resides on my WLAN, and I need it to access a server on my LAN via the WLAN. I need the device to have access to both networks and the internet. 

I naturally still dont want guests to have access to the internal LAN. 

How do I configure a NAT and packet rules to allow access to these devices as specified above.

    Hi,

    You don't need NATs, just firewall rules and static IP mappings.

    1. create a static address mapping from the DHCP leases page, for the ipad.
    If you're running 9.1x, this will create a new network defintion

    Put the new address OUTSIDE the DHCP range.

    You'll need to release and renew the client's DHCP lease to get the new address after you change it.


    2. create a matching network defintion if pre-9.1x

    3. create a firewall rule for the ipad to access the LAN.

    You see, I thought it would be something simple [:D].

    I, with my limited network knowledge, assumed that 2 different subnets would require a NAT.

    I have it working perfectly on my side now. Thank you so much for the assistance.
