AirServer/Airplay across Multiple VLANs

Hi!

We are using WLAN by Meru Networks with enabled Multicast within the single WLAN VLANs or SSIDs.

Within SSID1 the Apple devices can use AirServer/Airplay successfully.
Within SSID2 the Apple devices can use AirServer/Airplay successfully.

But in between SSID1 and SSID2 the according Airplay devices don't see each other. the according ports have been configured in the Firewall Rules section.

How do I verify that Multicast DNS is allowed? How do I make Airplay work across multiple LANs ?

I didn't find a proper solution in this forum yet. I can imagine I am not the only one facing this issue. Anybody around here who has solved that already?

Hi,
Airplay is broadcast only and needs a mcast proxy or similar to work between networks.

Put all your media devices on the same network as the AirPlay.
