upLink balancing between LANs & WANs

Now im not a IT expert im a heavy electrician thats learning very very quickly....

I have to WAN uplinks one VSAT and another thats connected to a shore based WIFI service on eth 3 & 5 respectively.

As i understand it the balancing works by sending traffic equally down each uplink if both are in active mode. which would mean if one link was slower than the other you would stand a 50/50 chance of getting a slow or fast connection. is this correct?

what i would like to do is to send one of me networks traffic out on the WIFI link and the other network on the faster connection. is this possible?

if so how do i do it?

Have a look at the Multipath Rules (In the "Interfaces" section) and persistence by Interface...

Also, if you want balancing, you can, for example, weight a 3MB connection at 30 and a 5MB one at 50. 3/8ths of the traffic will go over the slower link. You also could weight the faster link at 100 and the slower one at zero, effectively only using the slower link when the faster one was saturated.
