SMTP Routing two two static hosts - one on SSL VPN

Hi there,

I am having trouble routing SMTP traffic using the Routing with Static Hosts function in a SMTP Profile where the one server is on the local network and the other is accessible through a SSL VPN.  

Devices on either network has no trouble accessing devices on the other network via the SSL VPN.  Neither UTM, however, is able to make a connection to the mail server on the other side of the VPN.  

What am I doing wrong?

My setup is as follows:
* Network A with UTM A
  - Server M1 - old mail server
  - SMTP Profile on UTM A forwards mail to old mail server (Server M1) * AND * new mail server, Server B (below).
  - New mail server, Server B, is accessible via SSL VPN from Network A (ping/traceroute/smtp), no problem.  But, UTM A cannot forward mail to it (connection timeout).  UTM A can also not ping or traceroute to Server B.

* Network B with UTM B
  - Server M2 - new mail server
  - SMTP Profile on UTM B forwards mail to new mail server *AND * old mail server, Server A.
  - Old mail server, Server A, is accessible via SSL VPN from Network B (ping/traceroute/smtp), no problem.  But, UTM B cannot forward mail to it (connection timeout).  UTM B can also not ping or traceroute to Server A.

    Why is it that all my servers on either network can ping/traceroute the servers on the other network except for the actual UTM boxes?  Also, if I ssh into the UTM I cannot telnet to the smtp port of the mail server on the other network.  I can however telnet to the smtp port from any of the servers on the network local to that UTM.  

    I understand the round robin thing with the static SMTP server list.  That will not work for me, but my alternative plan still needs me to be able to push mail from the old mail server to the new one via the UTM ... which will not work unless I can get the UTM to see it and use it.  

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
