Hello everyone,
I'd like to establish the following scenario:
We have a public IP-range (/23 network).
Itis routed via one of our providers. If I am not mistaken this is done via BGP and our ISP is just the only one advertising to know this network.
Therefore I think this should be possible:
I'd like to present the range via two ISPs.
Two ISPs. Both advertising routes to our IP-range.
Their routers (next hop from our perspective) are connected within one VLAN with our UTM. Alternatively two NICs could be used.
BGP needs to be set up on our UTM (what? how? [:D])
We would like to achieve availability of our public addresses via multiple providers AND have our outgoing WAN-traffic to be routed via both/all connections.
Is this possible? Are there any problems e.g. with uplink-monitoring et cetera?
What needs to be done?
Can it be set up without any downtime on the IP range?
I suppose this is one of the more complex scenarios to be done (at least for me...my CCNA-BGP-knowledge is a bit rusty already to be honest [:P])
Thanks for any help [:)]
