Hi guys,
I've got a special situation here: There are 2 sites, which are connected via WiFi. Each site additionaly has internet access via ISP router (small bandwith).
In the standard situation, the internet traffic should be routed directly over the isp router, whereas the internal traffic should be routed through the wifi connection. No struggles there, I would configure that with a simple static route.
But the situation gets more complicated with failure situations:
a) One ISP connection fails: all traffic should be routed through the WiFi connection. Internet traffic is routed through the remote ISP router.
My solution: Uplink balancing should cover that.
b) WiFi fails: Internal traffic should be routed through a vpn connection over the ISP interface.
My solution: I would try that with Uplink Monitoring.
Any thoughts/experiences with such a scenario? Are my approaches correct?
thx, Chris
