Residential Addrress Blocks

We are having issues with students running their own PROXY servers at home and then connecting to them from school to bypass the web filtering.

Is there any way for the UTM to block access TO residential IP addresses?

    Hi, it used to be possible to block the CONNECT http method in the Web Protection proxy; I'm not sure if that option is still there, but if so, try it.

    Also, threatening the users with punishment often helps.

    The connect method block option is no longer in the Proxy settings...

    Set it up so they have to authenticate with a username and password -- monitor activity, and yes, as Barry said, punish the offenders.   Make 'em clean toilets.
