Has anyone switched to using the Astaro VoIP protection from a dedicated SIP firewall like an InGate? Just curious how it performs, does it even come close? Any setup issues? etc...
Looking at the list of capabilities of the inGate SIPerator, it appears that the following are not included by Astaro/Sophos:
Billing and authentication of SIP users from an external RADIUS
VoIP Survival (VoIP redundance if Internet connection fails)
SIP Registrar (Ingate is used as the primary SIP registrar)
At present, the failure of an Internet connection causes any calls in progress to be interrupted - it would be a feature request to enable a graceful failover of VoIP traffic.
On the other hand, there are no Add-on Modules to buy as everything else appears to be included with the Network Security/Protection subscription. Just configure VoIP in the UTM, add a DNAT with an Additional Address for any external phones, and you're probably done.
