Skype Problem

i have problem with Skype, it couldn't online. I've disabled the IPS, Web filtering, and only create a rule consists of   internal ---> Any ---> Any, Allow with one masquerading NAT Internal ---> Internet (interface) but the issue persists. the Skype work with 80 and 443 ports but when i captured the Skype's Packets with Wireshirk i saw that it uses the other ports However with this rule it It must have worked... I've restarted and reset factory but.... but the behind of the Firewall it works [:S]

    Hi, Astaro/UTM creates packetfilter rules for the proxies automatically, but they are hidden.

    Hi, 9.1 will show some of them, but you can always use the command-line, iirc it's
    iptables -n -L

    Socks proxy works perfectly..just have to configure Skype to use it...

    hello...i am new to Sophos UTM9 and configured most of my desired things...but stuck at skype version 6.6.0.106...first i was not even able to login to skype using UTM 9 but after following this post i am able to login but can not send or receive messages or calls. 
    any suggestions what i am doing wrong, using Socks5 proxy with user authentication.

    First apply what I call Rule #1:

    Whenever something seems strange, always check the Intrusion Prevention,
    Application Control and Firewall logs.

    @BAlfson...thanks for the response...and finally i got success in sending and receiving messages from skype version 6.6.0.106, after checking the Intrusion prevention logs i found out that its blocking the Skype client so i just created an exception in intrusion prevention to allow Socks traffic and things started working. 
    but is there any other way more simpler because i have to configure this on every client and for guests sometimes. 
    please suggest.

    it depends.  Skype is p2p based...if you only have one computer behind the firewall using skype you can go into the skype settings and manually specify the ports it needs to use then forward those ports to your machine.  YOu do have to make sure your computer has a static ip or this only works temporarily.  Socks is the easiest as you don't have to statically number a machine..manually forward ports..and if you have multiple machines worry about manually setting each machine's ports and ip addresses as well as manually doing nat rules for each.
