VPN for all outgoing/incoming traffic

I assume you're talking about a remote ISP which provides a VPN service, which you want to tunnel through.

Note that only some VPN modes in Astaro will work with a third-party VPN service.


Another option would be to put another Astaro firewall somewhere (Amazon or another ISP) and setup a site-to-site VPN between your local Astaro and the remote.

I am currently looking into getting an VPN connection to anonymize the traffic I have. 

How could this best be achieved ?

I would like VPN to be used with astaro as this will anonymize the entire traffic for all internet connections.

The best way to achieve this would be to set up a VPN with a service provider and run it from within utm as a proxy (selectively) or for everything, if that's what you want. However, the problem is that if you select a service provider that uses openvpn, you will find that it's not supported by utm. There are a variety of threads about this. There is also a feature request about this. Here is a link. I haven't given up on trying to hack around this, but I'm not hopeful. In the interim, I configured a vpn on one of my computers and use it when I need to. If you want this capability, please vote for the feature.
