Hi all,
I have an ESX host which as 4 NIC's, 1 for LAN, 3 with Public IPv4 addresses (1 for UTM 9 and 2 with each it's own NIC).
The setup went fine, behind the firewall I have a Windows machine running which can succesfully connects to internet.
The Windows box downloads files at full speed 100 Mb/s. I installed Filezilla Server (FTP) on the Windows box.
I assigned the 3rd NIC (on UTM) with a Public IPv4 and made a NAT-rule to the FTP Server.
I can connect to the FTP server but the upload speed is only 23 KB/s!!!! When I remove the FTP server behind UTM 9 and make it accessible
to the internet directly the upload speed is 9 MB/s!
How is this possible? For some reason UTM 9 is "blocking" the maximum speed.
Also I made an Site-2-Site IPSec connection and then the speed is also extremely slow and sometimes even RDP-sessions are disconnected.
What am I doing wrong or what is going wrong. As test I installed also pfSense just to know for sure that it's not the VM which is "bugging".
Made the same setup and de FTP upload speed is also fast, so it's not the VM, but something in UTM 9.
Setup UTM:
NIC 1 => LAN
NIC 2 => WAN IPv4 X and default gateway
NIC 3 => WAN IPv4 X2
NIC 4 => WAN IPv4 X3
NIC 3 => NAT => FTP=> VM
Could someone help me with this issue? I know that UTM 9 can run all at full speed...
TIA,
Fobe
