V8 PPTP clients disconnected while uploading files

Hello

i face a weird trouble.

i have two V7, on two different internet lines. PPTP worked perfectly

i upgraded those V7 to V8 (V8.308).
Since then almost everytime that a client connects on it and uploads a file on our network, the connection cuts !

have someone already seen that before, or face the same issue ?

please help !

    Rule #1:

    Whenever something seems strange, always check the Intrusion Prevention and Firewall logs.



    Any luck with that?

    IPS is off and regarding the firewall (parcket filter) the ports are granted, upload begins and then it cuts ! [:(]

    it used to work perfectly on my both former V7

    OS clients are XP and 7, Antivirus is out of cause (i disabled it for the test), the pptp client is one provided with the OS.

    i'm just confused... :-S

    Did you check that the Intrusion Protection log file is empty at the times of these problems?  There's more there than just the output of the Snort engine.

    no i did not check the logs of the IPS

    still; i'm pretty sure it comes from the V8 cause i reinstalled a V7 and made tests with the users impacted, and everything worked as it was.

    that's odd....
