Emails stop working

Hello Guys, 

Something weird is happening with Astaro 220. Our customer uses Outlook Client with Mandic (an email solution provider like googleapps, office 365 and stuff) but since yesterday, the emails stopped working at least once a day.
We cant even ping his smtp and pop3 from the machine. We are not using the Mail Security option.
I have a Firewall rule that is working perfectly: Internal IPs > Mail Ports > Any.
I am receiving some portscans (warn856). Could this be the reason emails stop working? [:S]

    Newimage makes a great suggestion about the IPS logs. If you really want to find out if that's a problem, turn IPS off and see if it works. 

    You can always create a rule that allows all traffic out unless there is specific reason to not do so, and then toggle that rule on and off to see if that's a problem. 

    Pinging - there's very few if any systems on the internets that allow pings. It's a practically useless way of testing whether or not you can reach a service because no one allows that kind of stuff on public networks anymore.
