Policy Routing HTTP to Sophos Web Proxy

Trying to route HTTP/HTTPS to a secondary web content filter using policy routing as shown in this knowledge base document:

Sophos Web Appliance in transparent mode with the Astaro Security Gateway (ASG) V8

However, going through the packet filter log, the http traffic is never redirected, it still shows it as coming from the source computer, not the web content filter.

What could possibly take priority over the policy routing?

Don't bother mentioning using the Astaro web content filter because that isn't happening here for any reason.

MOAR POLICY ROUTING!

Well, the feedback from the guys at Sophos/Astaro... maybe they should have combined the names, huh? Maybe SOPHARO or ASTOPHOS or something.

Anyway, feedback is that this only works if the policy routing target is in the same subnet as the firewall, which really in this case kind of sucks because we have to re-configure a bunch of stuff.

Hi Jon,

I don't understand. Is the other web filter running in the same network as the clients? Do the clients have the Astaro as default gateway? How do the clients know to send web requests through the other device?
