I've played around quite a bit with this issue and have searched the Internet to no avail. My issue is as follows:
I am attempting to get Microsoft RDP to work by DNAT-ing through my WAN. I have another firewall (Untangle) in production and have had no issue with speed. When I replace the Untangle firewall with UTM 9 the connection is degraded to the point where I am unable to use the session. The screen refresh rate is very slow and keystrokes and mouse movements take ten seconds or more to register. The machine is a virtual appliance with the default two cores and 4GB of RAM. It is nowhere near swapping.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
