IPS option

Hello everybody, 

Responsible of the astaro product, i wanna know if is there any IDS function running on Sophos UTM?

just one remark when we configure the IPS option, there is a case front of each attack define in UTM to set an "alarm", so i was wondering if it would be the same function as an IPS..

    Yes, you can just set the default action on the IPS rules to alert, that makes it the equivalent of an IDS.
