Filter traffic between Virtual Machine

Hi All, 

I need your help to setup my Vmware environment. I have 2 Esxi 5 Servers running several virtual machine in the same Lan(192.168.1.0/24) and I would like to packet filter traffic between them. How can I accomplish this goal with Astaro? 
I have 2 option:

use my external ASG 220 that connect the entire environment to Internet or configure an Astaro Virtual Machine.

I have looked around for a documentation without any luck.

Please Help!

    Sounds as you are looking for a bridge. Simpls bridge the local lan to another external interface, which connects to your oher esxi utm bridge interface. You can do firewalling then as long as every ip is unique in the lan ..

    Hi All, 

    thank you for the answers. I created 2 Vlan on the Vmware VSwitch, created 2 interfaces on the Astaro VM and I am able to do traffic filtering. The bad thing is that to filter traffic from/to each virtual machine, I need to create virtual NIC on Astaro VM. 

    I thought to put VMs in the same Vlan if they need to talk to, otherwise I will create different Vlans.

    How many Vlans does the Astaro VM can handle?
